Common Consumption Area

The Common Consumption Area (CCA) is a designated district in Downtown Salina where patrons age 21 and older may carry and consume alcoholic beverages purchased from licensed businesses—in approved cups—within public areas and plazas. The CCA enhances the downtown experience by creating a lively, walkable environment while supporting local businesses.


Launch Date: September 1, 2025 

Location: Elm Street to South Street and 7th Street to 5th Street, including some of Walnut Street, and Iron Avenue between 9th Street and 3rd Street

Hours of Operation: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. (midnight, daily)
